The setting sun illuminates a supercell thunderstorm in a rose color near Decatur, Texas on the evening of May 26, 2009. In addition to providing an amazing scene, this supercell was unique as it was anticyclonic in nature (rotating clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere) due to a split in the original parent supercell thunderstorm. Mammatus clouds area evident underneath the anvil of the storm near the upper right portion of the image.
