Thanks, Kellice. We were ok, as the hail shaft was a couple of miles away (you can see for a long way out in the Plains). Thanks again.

Artist's Description

A newly developing downdraft producing a precipitation shaft containing rain & hail associated with a supercell thunderstorm located near Booker, Texas in the Texas Panhandle (near the Texas/Oklahoma state line). Dust kicked up by the winds associated with the downdraft is visible along the horizon. This supercell thunderstorm produced damaging wind gusts and up to golf ball-sized hail (up to 1.75" in diameter). This photograph was taken in June, 2013.
