Crepuscular rays from the setting sun illuminate the outline of a supercell thunderstorm in southwestern Missouri on the evening of June 2, 2010. Mammatus clouds (the bubble-wrap looking clouds often associated with severe thunderstorms) are visible hanging beneath the anvil of the storm. Later, the storm was tornado-warned & did produce a brief funnel cloud (we could not confirm whether or not the funnel cloud reached the ground and became a tornado).
